DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAY INSTITUTE FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT

The DEEN DAYAL UPADHYAY INSTITUTE FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT, PALIWAL PARK CAMPUS, AGRA was established in the year 1999 for promoting teaching and research in rural development and other related disciplines. The institute follows CBCS semester system which includes regular seminars, assignments, periodical tests, field work and research work as a part of curriculum. The Institute right from its inception has strived for quality and high standards in teaching and research work. The Institute has also played a significant role in the field of popularizing rural and human development among students. Most of the students have been placed on high ranks in public, private, corporate and NGO’s sectors. The faculty of the Institute has published more than a hundred research papers along with a many projects and field work studies. A number of Doctorate degrees and a number of diploma holders have also been produced by the Institute in short span of one and a half decade. The thrust areas have been studies related with Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Rural Development, Disaster Management, Corporate and Social Responsibility. The Institute/Department has organized a number of National and International seminars, conferences, workshops, etc. time to time to provide exposure to students as well as and expertise of the faculty members.

Faculties

Courses & Fees

Currently, the Institute is running three courses namely – Master in Human Resource Management (M.H.R.M.), Post Graduate Diploma in Disaster Management (P.G.D.D.M.), and Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Social Responsibility (P.G.D.C.S.R.) in semester system. The sanctioned seats in these courses are as follows:

• Master in Human Resource Management (M.H.R.M.) – 60 seats

• Post Graduate Diploma in Disaster Management (P.G.D.D.M.) – 40 seats

• Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Social Responsibility (P.G.D.C.S.R.) – 30 seats

Course Duration

The duration of each course is as follows:

• Master in Human Resource Management (M.H.R.M.) – 02 Years (04 Semesters)

• Post Graduate Diploma in Disaster Management (P.G.D.D.M.) – 01 Year (02 Semesters)

• Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate, Social Responsibility (P.G.D.C.S.R.) – 01 Year (02 Semesters)

Four new courses will be coming in the next session i.e. –

• Bachelor of Vocational (B.Voc) in Retail Management – 03 Years (06 Semesters)

• Master in Public Administration (M.P.A.) – 02 Years (04 Semesters)

• Master in Rural Development (M.R.D.) – 02 Years (04 Semesters)

• Master in Disaster Management (M.D.M.) – 02 Years (04 Semesters)

MODE OF ADMISSION:

• Admissions will be done as per the merit list and in accordance with the admission norms and rules of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra.
